[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]RAWALPINDI: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) conducted a nationwide operation on drug trafficking, apprehending 12 people and seizing more than 305 kilogrammes of cocaine, according to ARY News on Friday.
According to an ANF spokesman, anti-narcotic officials have increased their efforts to combat the illegal drug trade and recovered 72 kg of opium and 61kg of hashish stashed in a vehicle’s secret compartment near the M1 toll plaza in Islamabad.
According to ANF officials, a woman from Sheikhupura and a suspect were captured, and two kilogrammes of opium were discovered from the arrested suspects. In another operation, more than 157 kilogrammes of hashish were confiscated from a vehicle in Karachi’s Indus Chowrangi, hidden behind the secret compartments of the car bumper, resulting to the arrest of three individuals travelling in the vehicle.

A total of 2.4 kilogrammes of charas (hashish) were recovered from a suspect – a native of Sukkur – during an operation on Khyber Road, while another suspect was apprehended near Shershah toll plaza, Multan, after a six kilogrammes of hashish was recovered from his possession.
Furthermore, ANF officials disrupted a major narcotics smuggling operation by apprehending an international traveller who was attempting to transport three hashish capsules weighing 576 grammes to Sharjah. According to ANF officials, cases have been filed against all of the suspects under the Control of Narcotic Substances Act, and further investigations have begun.
