This attack follows a violent episode in August when gunmen ambushed a convoy of vehicles, including a passenger bus, in the Rarasham area of Tingri tehsil, approximately 72 kilometers from Musa Khel district in Balochistan. That incident claimed the lives of 23 people, with the assailants halting the vehicles on the national highway before opening fire on the passengers. This attack mirrors a pattern of violence that has previously targeted laborers in the region.
A significant presence of Levies and police forces arrived at the scene of the August attack. The deceased were subsequently transported to a hospital and then returned to their native towns in Punjab for burial, with thousands of mourners in attendance.
