In a proactive effort to combat illegal commercial usage in Lahore, the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has stepped up its operations.
On Monday, LDA teams took action by sealing Cakes & Bakes and six other businesses in Gulshan-e-Ravi due to their failure to pay commercialization fees. The sealed premises included a medical store, private schools, grocery shops, and offices. Overseeing the operation was Ayesha Mutahir, the Director of Town Planning-I, who coordinated with enforcement teams and the Police.

LDA officials stated that multiple notices had been issued to the owners of these buildings prior to the operation. Tahir Farooq, the Director General of LDA, has emphasized the continuation of indiscriminate operations against violations of building and parking bylaws, encroachments, and illegal commercial activities in Lahore.
