A gas load-shedding schedule has been announced for Karachi

Starting Sunday morning, gas supply will be suspended in half of Karachi for 24 hours due to connection work on the transmission pipeline. Affected areas include Surjani Town, Manghopir, Qasba Town, Orangi, North Karachi, North Nazimabad, FB Area, Gulberg, Buffer Zone, Site Industrial Area, Baldia, Ittehad Town, Kemari, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Ahsanabad, Janjal Goth, and the surroundings of the Super Highway. The outage will start at 5 am on July 28 and end at 5 am on July 29. Residents and businesses are advised to make alternative arrangements for fuel during this time.

In other news, Mari Petroleum Company has announced the discovery of new gas reserves in Sindh. The additional 3 million metric standard cubic feet per day (MMSCFD) of gas from the Ghazij Gas Field is now being supplied to Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL).

Additionally, a recent explosion on a 24-inch diameter Sui gas pipeline in Mach has caused a disruption in gas supply to various areas, including Quetta. This incident has led to a complete suspension of gas services in the affected regions.
