Indian food vlogger Pavitra Kaur recently shared her dissatisfaction after flying business class with Air India on a New Delhi to San Francisco route, describing the experience as below expectations despite the high cost. Kaur, who reportedly paid nearly four lakh rupees for the journey, expressed disappointment over both the facilities and the cleanliness aboard the flight in her latest YouTube vlog, ultimately rating the experience six out of ten.
Her troubles began with a technical fault in her first seat, which led to her being moved to another seat, only to encounter the same issue again. Kaur criticized the airline for failing to provide basic amenities, highlighting that passengers paying premium fares should expect functional seating and adequate service.
Cleanliness issues were another major concern. She reported finding two dead flies on her seat and observed stale fruit and other food items on her plate, with flies present even on the meals served. The dessert, particularly the chocolate mousse, left her most disappointed, to the point that she did not consume it at all. She also described the fruit as stale, further adding to her dissatisfaction.
Kaur’s critique extended to the overall hygiene standards, questioning what conditions might exist in the economy class if business class offered such poor cleanliness. Despite the negative experience, she acknowledged the limited flight options, concluding her vlog with a wry remark: “But this is Air India,” implying that she had little choice but to travel with the airline. Overall, Pavitra Kaur’s review paints a disappointing picture of Air India’s business class, highlighting issues with seat functionality, food quality, and hygiene standards, leaving her disillusioned despite the premium fare paid for the flight.
