Guinness World Record Broken by Karachi Martial Artist

A Karachi-based martial artist, Wajahat Yar Khan, has set a new Guinness World Record by completing 126 push-ups at a 180-degree angle in just one minute. This achievement breaks the previous record held by Britain’s Alex Golding and has been officially recognized by Guinness World Records.

Wajahat credited his success to ten months of intense training and disciplined practice. He said his family, especially his parents, provided strong support throughout his journey. Despite suffering multiple injuries during training and while attempting the record, Wajahat remained determined to achieve his goal.

The martial artist stated that he is already preparing for another attempt to set a new record and aims to further enhance Pakistan’s profile in international martial arts. He highlighted that more government support for martial artists could help the country produce even more world-class athletes.

Earlier, Saba Rashid became Pakistan’s first martial arts athlete to set a Guinness World Record in the nunchaku category. She successfully performed a figure-of-eight movement with nunchaku 138 times in one minute, surpassing the previous record of 120.

Wajahat’s achievement is seen as a major milestone for Pakistan in the field of martial arts. It demonstrates the potential of athletes who are willing to train rigorously and overcome challenges. His success is also expected to inspire younger martial artists in the country to pursue excellence at the international level.

Officials and sports enthusiasts have praised Wajahat’s dedication, saying his record not only brings recognition to Pakistan but also encourages more participation in martial arts. The achievement emphasizes the importance of perseverance, hard work, and focus in breaking global records.
