Police in Hafizabad have arrested three suspects accused of harassing a female student, following a complaint that sparked public concern. The incident reportedly occurred near an educational institution, where the suspects allegedly followed and verbally harassed the student while she was on her way home.
According to police officials, the victim approached the local police station and lodged a formal complaint, detailing the harassment and intimidation. Acting swiftly, police registered a case under relevant sections of the law and launched an immediate investigation to identify the accused individuals.
Authorities said police teams reviewed available evidence, including eyewitness accounts and CCTV footage from nearby areas. Based on this information, raids were conducted at multiple locations, leading to the arrest of three suspects within a short period.
Police officials stated that the suspects are being interrogated to determine whether they were involved in similar incidents in the past. Investigators are also examining their mobile phones and backgrounds to gather further evidence and strengthen the case.
