The Punjab Transport Company has launched 15 electric buses in Chakwal Punjab District as part of the province’s clean transport initiative. The service officially began operations on December 3, offering residents a modern and eco-friendly commuting option.
The new buses run on three key routes connecting major points across the Punjab District. These include the District Complex to Dhudial, Tehsil Chowk to Balkasar, and Tehsil Chowk to Mohal Mughlan. Authorities said the initiative aims to provide residents with a smog-free and quieter commuting experience.
Each bus is equipped with modern facilities, including air conditioning, digital displays, and accessibility features for people with disabilities. Officials highlighted that these improvements will make travel safer and more comfortable for all passengers.
