The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) raided a house in Nattoki on Sunday, uncovering a unit producing synthetic and hazardous milk. During the operation, officials destroyed 400 litres of adulterated milk and seized a supplier’s vehicle, milk cans, 32 bags of powder, and 55 empty sacks.
PFA Director General Asim Javed said the group had been secretly preparing fake milk at night and supplying it to shops. The suspect was caught red-handed mixing water, substandard ghee, and powders to produce synthetic milk.
Authorities recovered adulteration chemicals, contaminated ghee, thick counterfeit mixtures, and powdered substances used in production. On-the-spot tests confirmed the milk was unsafe for consumption and it was immediately disposed of. The PFA registered a case and is investigating further to identify other members of the network.
