Balochistan Schools Set Winter Holidays From Dec 16

Government schools in Balochistan are preparing for the annual winter holidays, starting December 16, after a busy exam schedule for students in grades 1 to 8. The Education Department announced that exams for grades 1 to 7 began on November 16 and will continue until November 24. Class 8 assessments are scheduled to start on the same day under the Balochistan Board.

Teachers and administrators have been instructed to ensure that exams are conducted smoothly and on time. These assessments are considered a crucial part of the academic calendar, helping evaluate student progress before the long break.

The winter holidays, lasting approximately two-and-a-half months, will cover the coldest period in Balochistan to safeguard students from harsh weather conditions. Schools will reopen once temperatures rise, providing a safer and more comfortable environment for learning.

Students and parents are also advised to monitor weather updates during this period. For instance, just as international locations report on the impact of winter rain, like the recent weather changes in Makkah and Madinah after the first winter rainfall, keeping an eye on local conditions can help families plan for safe travel and outdoor activities during the break.

While students look forward to this extended holiday, it also serves as a valuable opportunity for rest, revision, and family time. Schools in regions with milder climates will follow a slightly shorter schedule, but all closures are part of a province-wide plan to ensure both student safety and uninterrupted learning.

With exams wrapping up and the winter season setting in, students across Balochistan can expect a well-deserved break starting December 16, returning to classrooms fully refreshed and ready for the new term.
