Batting first, Pakistan got off to a blazing start. Samad launched Yasin Patel for a six on the second ball, followed by Khawaja Nafay hitting a six of his own, taking Pakistan to 26 in the opening over. Kuwait struck back when Meet Bhavsar dismissed Nafay for 22, but Afridi and Samad continued the assault, taking Pakistan to 95-1 in four overs. Despite a couple of quick wickets, Afridi smashed 52 off 11 balls in the final over, pushing Pakistan to 136.
Kuwait started aggressively, with Adnan Idrees hitting two sixes in the first over, but Mohammad Shahzad dismissed him for 30, and Maaz Sadaqat’s brilliant spell, including three wickets in quick succession, dismantled the chase. Abdul Samad returned to finish off the tail, restricting Kuwait to 92 runs. Pakistan lifted the trophy in dominant fashion, showcasing both firepower and precision in bowling.
