Salman Akram Meets Qureshi, Discusses PTI’s Political Plans

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Secretary General Salman Akram Raja visited party Vice Chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi at a Lahore hospital to inquire about his health, according to The News.

Sources revealed that during the meeting, the two leaders also discussed the current political situation in the country and the challenges facing PTI. The interaction was described as cordial, with both leaders expressing optimism about the party’s organizational unity and future strategy.

Salman Akram Raja, who has recently taken on an active political role within PTI, assured Qureshi of his full support during his recovery. Party insiders said the meeting reflected PTI’s internal efforts to maintain coordination among senior leadership amid a shifting national political landscape.

Shah Mahmood Qureshi, a key PTI leader and former foreign minister, has been receiving medical treatment for the past few days. His health has reportedly improved, and he is expected to resume political activities soon.

The visit comes at a time when PTI is intensifying its internal consultations following a series of legal and political challenges. The leadership has been discussing future plans, particularly in Punjab, where several of its members are facing ongoing legal proceedings.

In a related development, the Election Tribunal Lahore recently dismissed a petition against Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s electoral victory, reinforcing political stability in the province.

Political observers believe that such meetings among PTI leaders indicate ongoing discussions about the party’s next steps and possible alliances in response to evolving political dynamics.
