Ex-Premier Shahid Khaqan Abbasi ‘Stable’ After Heart Procedure

Former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi is reported to be in stable condition following a successful heart procedure conducted at a private hospital in Islamabad. Doctors confirmed that the operation went smoothly and that Abbasi is now recovering under medical supervision.

Sources close to his family stated that the former premier had been experiencing cardiac discomfort for several days before undergoing the procedure. He was admitted on his physician’s advice after initial tests indicated the need for medical intervention.

Hospital officials revealed that Abbasi’s condition is being closely monitored, with doctors optimistic about his recovery in the coming days. They added that he is conscious, responsive, and expected to be discharged once his vitals stabilize.

Leaders from various political parties extended their well-wishes, praying for his swift recovery and acknowledging his long service to the nation. Supporters and colleagues have also shared messages of concern and encouragement on social media.

Abbasi, a senior leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), served as the country’s prime minister from 2017 to 2018 following Nawaz Sharif’s disqualification. He has remained active in political discussions and reform initiatives since leaving office.

Medical experts have advised Abbasi to take ample rest and avoid stress for the next few weeks as part of his recovery plan. His family has requested privacy during this period.
