Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has confirmed that Pakistan carried out airstrikes in Kabul, targeting militant hideouts allegedly responsible for recent cross-border attacks.

The strikes, conducted with precision, were aimed at eliminating groups planning attacks inside Pakistan.

Khawaja Asif said the operation was launched after repeated warnings to Afghan authorities went unanswered.

He emphasized that Pakistan would not tolerate militant activity originating from Afghan soil and would take necessary steps to protect its citizens.

The minister also called on the interim Afghan government to prevent terrorist groups from using its territory against Pakistan.

The strikes mark a major escalation in tensions between Islamabad and Kabul, as both sides exchange accusations over cross-border militancy.
