The Islamabad Capital Territory Police has announced 23 Inspector BS-16 vacancies through the Federal Public Service Commission.
The permanent positions fall under the Ministry of Interior and Narcotics Control. Candidates from across Pakistan can apply according to the announced quota system.
The last date to submit applications is August 31, 2026. Applicants must complete the process online through the FPSC website.
Candidates must hold a Master’s, BS or Bachelor’s degree with 16 years of education in any discipline. The degree must be from an HEC-recognized university or institution.
The basic age requirement is between 20 and 28 years. Candidates will also receive five years of general upper-age relaxation under applicable government rules.
The recruitment also includes specific physical requirements. Male candidates must have a minimum height of 5 feet 7 inches.
Female candidates must have a minimum height of 5 feet 2 inches. Male applicants must also have a chest measurement between 33 and 34.5 inches.
Candidates must meet the required eyesight standards. Applicants need 6/6 vision with or without glasses, while near vision must not be below J-I.
Physical fitness is also part of the eligibility criteria. Male candidates must complete a 1.6-kilometre run within seven minutes.
Female candidates must complete the same distance within 10 minutes. Applicants should prepare for the physical requirements before applying.
The 23 vacancies have been divided under different provincial and regional quotas. The allocation includes one merit seat and five seats for Islamabad Capital Territory.
Punjab has nine seats, while Sindh Rural has two seats. Sindh Urban and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have one and two seats respectively.
Balochistan has one seat, while Ex-FATA and Azad Jammu and Kashmir each have one seat. Women quota seats are also included for ICT and Punjab.
Candidates must apply online through the FPSC website. The commission will not accept manual applications or hard copies for these positions.
Since the Inspector position is in BS-16, applicants must pay an application fee of Rs. 600. The fee can be paid through the PSID generated by FPSC.
Payment can be made through supported 1-Link channels. These include mobile banking, ATMs, Easypaisa and JazzCash.
Applicants should provide an active mobile number and email address during the application process. They should also carefully review their information before submitting the form.
Interested candidates should apply before the August 31 deadline. Late applications may not be accepted by the commission.
