The United Nations has called for maintaining the Gaza ceasefire, stressing that it is vital to continue delivering life-saving humanitarian aid and protecting civilians. The UN’s World Food Programme (WFP) said that keeping the truce intact is the only way to ensure aid reaches those in desperate need.

According to WFP officials, more than 6,000 tons of food have already entered Gaza since the ceasefire began, helping feed nearly half a million people. However, access to many parts of the territory, especially northern Gaza,

remains extremely difficult. Only two main border crossings are currently open, making it hard for aid convoys to reach all affected areas.

UN humanitarian agencies warned that any collapse of the ceasefire would immediately threaten ongoing aid operations. They added that Gaza’s civilians remain at high risk due to food shortages,

damaged infrastructure, and lack of clean water. The UN urged all parties to uphold the ceasefire to prevent further suffering and to create space for larger-scale humanitarian aid.
