Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz described the recent Saudi Pact as a matter of spiritual pride and national honor during a ceremony in Lahore. The event was held to welcome a delegation from the Pakistan-Saudi Business Council.
Maryam Nawaz emphasised that Pakistan’s relationship with Saudi Arabia goes beyond politics and economics. She said the ties are deeply rooted in shared faith and brotherhood. “This Saudi Pact reflects our enduring friendship and mutual respect,” she added.
The chief minister also highlighted her family’s long-standing connection with Saudi Arabia. She recalled living in Jeddah for seven years during former President Musharraf’s regime and noted that the bond between the two countries has strengthened over generations.
Delegation Welcomed with Warmth
Maryam Nawaz extended a warm welcome to Prince Mansoor bin Muhammad bin Saad Al Saud, describing him as a close friend of Pakistan. She praised the recent agreements signed during Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s visit to Saudi Arabia, saying the deals will enhance trust and cooperation.
The chief minister stressed that the Saudi Pact is not only about political collaboration but also a spiritual duty. She mentioned that protecting the Two Holy Mosques is an honor for all Pakistanis.
Investment Opportunities in Punjab
Prince Mansoor expressed Saudi investors’ interest in Punjab. He mentioned potential projects in dairy, livestock, meat processing, tourism, housing, semiconductors, and healthcare sectors. He also discussed plans to build one million low-cost houses in Punjab with modern technology.

Maryam Nawaz reiterated that the Saudi Pact strengthens both economic and spiritual ties. She called for continued collaboration to benefit Pakistan’s economy and enhance bilateral relations.
