Karachi police have arrested two suspects accused of murdering their 22-year-old cousin, Tehzeer, in a shocking case of family violence. The incident has sparked outrage in the community, raising concerns about the rise of personal disputes escalating into brutal crimes.
According to officials, the body of Tehzeer, who was a resident of Federal B Area, was discovered dumped in the bushes near the Super Highway. The discovery triggered an immediate investigation, with police quickly tracing the crime back to members of his own family.
The suspects, identified as Arshad and Basharat, were arrested on Tuesday. During interrogation, both confessed to their involvement in the killing. Investigators revealed that the two men were not acting alone and that another cousin, Waseem, also played a central role in the crime.

After visiting Karachi’s popular Sea View beach, the group was returning home in a car when the situation took a deadly turn. Near Liaquatabad Bridge, Waseem allegedly fired the fatal shot at Tehzeer, who was seated in the back seat of the vehicle. Arshad and Basharat then assisted in disposing of the body, abandoning it near the Super Highway to conceal their crime.
Police stated that all three cousins were involved in planning the murder, with each playing a role in the execution. Waseem is accused of pulling the trigger, while Arshad and Basharat helped orchestrate and cover up the killing. Authorities confirmed that Waseem remains the prime suspect, while the other two face serious charges for aiding and abetting.
The murder has left residents of Federal B Area in shock. Neighbors described Tehzeer as a young man with a promising future who became the victim of senseless violence. Community members have urged law enforcement to ensure swift justice, emphasizing the need to curb the growing trend of domestic and family disputes turning deadly.
