Pakistan’s military spokesperson, Lt. Gen. Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, has dismissed Indian claims of downing Pakistani aircraft during the May clashes, affirming that “not a single Pakistani jet was shot down.”
In an interview with Bloomberg, the DG ISPR said Pakistan’s defense strategy focuses on operational readiness, indigenous technology, and acquiring advanced systems from reliable partners — without entering an arms race with India.
He praised the performance of Pakistan’s weapon systems, including Chinese-made platforms, and cited reports that seven Indian aircraft were downed during the engagements.
Bloomberg also highlighted Pakistan’s recent induction of the Chinese Z-10ME attack helicopter alongside its fleet of J-10C and F-16 fighter jets, underscoring the country’s focus on a balanced and defensive modernization approach
