KHUZDAR – Security forces carried out a targeted operation in Khuzdar on the night of September 14-15, killing five terrorists linked to banned Baloch militant groups. The military’s media wing, ISPR, confirmed the operation on Wednesday.
According to ISPR, the action followed credible intelligence about the presence of terrorists, also referred to as Fitna-ul-Hindustan, in the area. Security forces engaged the militants in a firefight that resulted in the deaths of five individuals.
ISPR stated that a large cache of weapons and ammunition was recovered from the slain terrorists. Officials believe these arms were intended for planned attacks in Khuzdar and surrounding districts. The statement added that the militants killed during the operation were involved in several past attacks in nearby areas.
After the encounter, security forces launched a clearance operation to ensure no further threats remained. ISPR said troops are combing the region as more militants may still be hiding nearby. Authorities urged residents to report any suspicious activity to help maintain safety.
Local residents welcomed the successful operation. Many expressed relief at the elimination of the terrorists. “We feel safer knowing that security forces acted on the intelligence and removed these threats,” said a shopkeeper in Khuzdar.
ISPR emphasized that such operations are part of ongoing efforts to secure the province and prevent militant activities. Officials highlighted that targeting terrorists and recovering arms is essential to maintain law and order in the region.
Security forces continue to patrol key areas in Khuzdar, ensuring the safety of citizens. ISPR reaffirmed its commitment to combating terrorism and protecting communities from potential attacks.
