US authorities have released photos and a video of a person of interest in the Charlie Kirk killing. Investigators also confirmed the recovery of the rifle believed to have been used in the shooting.
Charlie Kirk, 31, was a prominent conservative activist, author, and podcast host. He was a close ally of former President Donald Trump and played a key role in mobilizing young Republican voters. Kirk was shot while answering an audience question during a university event in Utah. Trump called the incident a “heinous assassination.”

Trump announced plans to posthumously award Kirk the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the nation’s highest civilian honor.
