Aleema Khan, sister of PTI founder and former prime minister Imran Khan, was attacked with eggs during a press talk outside Adiala Jail on Friday.
While she was speaking to the media, two eggs were thrown at her, one of which struck her. Police immediately detained two women involved and shifted them to the nearby Adiala police post.
Earlier, heated questioning by journalists had sparked anger among PTI workers. During the exchange, PTI leader Seemabia Tahir also raised her voice, while Aleema Khan chose not to respond further and left the spot in her vehicle.
Before the incident, Aliya Khan told reporters that “the winds have changed,” reflecting people’s growing anger and refusal to accept “oppression.”
She added that Imran Khan stands for democracy and the rule of law, while his opponents are trying to silence him.
