Bad Weather Causes Nationwide Flight Schedule Disruptions

Bad weather has caused widespread disruptions in flight schedules across Pakistan. Several flights were either delayed or canceled due to severe weather conditions.

At Sialkot Airport, operations faced heavy disruptions. Pakistan International Airlines’ flight PK-178 from Abu Dhabi to Sialkot was diverted to Karachi. Similarly, Flydubai flight FZ-337 was rerouted to Islamabad. Flydubai’s Sialkot to Dubai flight FZ-338 was delayed by 17 hours. Other flights, FZ-782 and FZ-783, faced delays of over five hours. Flight PK-179 was also delayed by two hours.

Islamabad Airport experienced significant impacts from the bad weather. Nine flights from Karachi to Islamabad were delayed by one to seven hours. In total, 14 flights arriving and departing faced delays ranging from one to 15 hours. Islamabad to Abu Dhabi flight PA-230 was delayed by nine hours, and Islamabad to Dubai flight PA-210 was delayed by 15 hours.

Other cities also saw flight disruptions due to bad weather. Four flights to Peshawar, two to Skardu, three to Multan, and nine to Karachi were delayed by several hours. Lahore Airport reported 11 delayed flights with delays from one to six hours. Additionally, seven flights between Karachi and Lahore were delayed by one to four hours.

Passengers across the country have been advised to check their flight status before traveling. Airport authorities are working to manage the delays and cancellations caused by the bad weather.

Officials continue to monitor weather updates closely. They have urged travelers to stay patient and stay updated through official airline channels.

Bad weather remains a challenge for air travel in Pakistan, impacting many passengers and airport operations nationwide.
