Gold Price Rises by Rs1,500 per Tola in Pakistan

Gold prices in Pakistan saw a slight rebound on Monday after sharp declines during the previous week.

According to data from the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of gold rose by Rs1,500 per tola, settling at Rs357,700. Likewise, the rate of 10 grams increased by Rs1,286, reaching Rs306,670.

The global market also showed an upward trend, with gold climbing $15 per ounce to hit $3,350. Analysts linked the rise to falling US Treasury yields, while investors awaited key meetings of US President Donald Trump with Ukraine’s Volodymyr Zelenskiy and European leaders, raising hopes for progress on the Russia-Ukraine conflict.

Just two days earlier, on Saturday, gold prices had fallen in both domestic and international markets. In Pakistan, the per tola price dropped by Rs900 to Rs356,200, while 10 grams slipped by Rs771 to Rs305,384. Globally, the per ounce rate had fallen by $9 to $3,335.

Meanwhile, the Finance Ministry revised petroleum product prices for the next two weeks. Petrol remains unchanged at Rs264.61 per litre, but high-speed diesel has been reduced by Rs12.84 to Rs272.99 per litre, while kerosene oil is down to Rs178.27 per litre
