The Senate of Pakistan on Friday unanimously passed a resolution to mark 1,500 years since the birth of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). The resolution was introduced by PML-N Parliamentary Leader Irfan Siddiqui and received support from all political parties.

The Senate reaffirmed its commitment to uphold and promote the teachings and values of the Prophet (PBUH). It called for national unity, peace, and brotherhood, in line with the Prophet’s Sunnah.

In the resolution, the Senate urged both federal and provincial governments to celebrate the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in a respectful and meaningful manner. Lawmakers emphasized the importance of dignified celebrations that reflect the Prophet’s spiritual and moral legacy.

The House encouraged educational, cultural, and religious institutions to hold special programs to honor the Prophet’s life and teachings. These activities, senators said, should highlight values such as compassion, justice, tolerance, and kindness.

Senators also discussed the positive impact of promoting the Prophet’s message in today’s society. They noted that his teachings offer timeless guidance for dealing with modern challenges, especially in promoting peace and social harmony.

Irfan Siddiqui, while presenting the resolution, said that remembering the Prophet’s legacy helps to unite the nation. He stressed the importance of spreading his message of love and respect at both the national and global levels.
