A heartbreaking incident unfolded in Balochistan’s Dukki district, where four young girls from the same family drowned after falling into a stream while playing near its bank.
Levies officials reported that the children had accompanied their parents to the riverside near Quetta, where the parents were busy doing laundry. During that time, the girls—aged between five and eleven—wandered near the stream and were swept away by the strong current.
Rescue teams, aided by local residents, recovered all four bodies the next day. Authorities have confirmed the incident was accidental, with no signs of foul play. The tragedy has devastated the local community, sparking an outpouring of sympathy for the bereaved family.
