The Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has paid a heartfelt tribute to a young organ donor from Mardan. A road and a local hospital will now carry the name of Jawad Khan, a 14-year-old boy who died in an accident but saved five lives through organ donation.
Jawad’s liver, kidneys, and eyes were donated after his death. His family made the courageous decision to become a donor family during a time of immense grief. The donated organs helped five patients live longer and healthier lives.

At a ceremony in the Chief Minister’s House, Jawad’s father was given the seat of honor. Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur praised the family’s brave choice. He said that this act of kindness will inspire others across the province.
As part of the tribute, the government will name a hospital after the young donor. A road in his native village will also be built in his memory. The Chief Minister also announced that Jawad’s story will be included in school textbooks to educate students about the importance of being a donor.
In another gesture of appreciation, the provincial government will sponsor an Umrah trip for Jawad’s family. The Chief Minister said that Jawad’s example shows how one donor can save many lives.
This recognition ensures that Jawad’s memory lives on. His story is a powerful reminder of how one decision can make a difference for many. Through this tribute, the government hopes to raise awareness about the importance of becoming a donor in Pakistan.
