Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian praised Pakistan’s “unforgettable support” during the recent war with Israel. He stressed that unity among Muslim countries is essential to counter the divisive agenda of the “Zionist regime.”

The remarks came during a meeting in Tehran with Pakistan’s Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi. They discussed regional stability, bilateral relations, and prospects for stronger cooperation between Pakistan and Iran.

President Pezeshkian highlighted Pakistan’s long-standing ties with Iran and recalled how Islamabad stood by Tehran in difficult times. He said, “The Pakistani Parliament was the first to pass a resolution in our support. Your government raised its voice against aggression on every international forum. This sincerity can never be forgotten.”

He also warned that the Israeli government works to divide Muslim nations, adding, “A collective front can prove pivotal in resisting Zionist oppression.”

Interior Minister Naqvi congratulated Iran on its “great victory” in the conflict. He praised the resilience of the Iranian people and credited Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei and President Pezeshkian’s leadership.

Naqvi reiterated Pakistan’s firm support for Iran’s right to self-defence. He described the Israeli attacks as unprovoked and unlawful and noted Pakistan’s diplomatic backing at regional and international levels.

He also conveyed goodwill from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, reaffirming Islamabad’s commitment to deepening bilateral ties.

Both sides expressed satisfaction with current Pak-Iran cooperation and called for further diplomatic dialogue. President Pezeshkian emphasized opportunities for collaboration across multiple sectors.

The meeting was attended by Iranian Interior Minister Sikandar Momeni, the Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan, and Pakistan’s Ambassador to Iran.
