Pakistan’s Foreign Office has openly stated that India’s involvement in terrorism within Pakistan is clear and undeniable. During a recent press briefing, the Foreign Office spokesperson emphasized that India is supporting proxy groups involved in terrorist activities in Balochistan. Pakistan is raising this issue at various international forums to seek support against such interference.

The spokesperson also pointed out the ongoing challenge of terrorist safe havens in Afghanistan. Pakistan is in active contact with Afghan authorities to address these security concerns and hopes for better cooperation from Kabul in tackling terrorism.

India’s actions in Indian-occupied Kashmir were strongly condemned. The Foreign Office highlighted the continued human rights violations and expressed concern over the suffering of Kashmiris. Pakistan remains firm in its stance against the mistreatment of Kashmiris by Indian forces and calls for international attention to the issue.

Regarding diplomatic engagements, Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has no plans to meet any Indian officials at the upcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit. However, Pakistan intends to meet with other participating world leaders to strengthen regional ties.

The Foreign Office also reaffirmed Pakistan’s close friendship with China and confirmed there has been no change in Islamabad’s policy on Taiwan. Pakistan expressed its interest in joining the BRICS group but did not comment on the current developments as it is not yet a member.

Environmental concerns were also addressed, with Pakistan highlighting its vulnerability to pollution despite contributing minimally to global carbon emissions. Additionally, efforts are underway to revive Pakistan Steel Mills, including consultations with senior U.S. officials regarding potential trade agreements.
