India, Pakistan Likely to Meet Twice in Asia Cup 2025

Cricket fans can expect two high-voltage face-offs between Pakistan and India in the upcoming Asia Cup 2025, with reports indicating matches on September 7 and September 14. The tournament is expected to kick off on September 5, with the first Pakistan-India match likely scheduled in Dubai two days later.

The Asia Cup 2025 is expected to follow a hybrid model, similar to the 2023 edition. While India is the official host this time, the matches may be played at neutral venues due to the ongoing political tensions with Pakistan. The United Arab Emirates (UAE) remains the top contender to host most or all of the tournament.

As per the preliminary schedule, Pakistan and India will meet first in the group stage on September 7. If both teams qualify for the Super Four round, a second match between them is likely on September 14. These two potential matches have already captured the attention of cricket fans across the region.

The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has yet to release the final schedule but is expected to do so in the first week of July. A 17-day window for the event has reportedly been secured by the ACC.

The six confirmed teams for the Asia Cup 2025 include Pakistan, India, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and the UAE. With strong line-ups and fierce rivalries, the tournament promises exciting and competitive cricket.

Due to political sensitivities, the tournament may once again use a hybrid hosting model, as was the case in Asia Cup 2023, when India played all its matches in Sri Lanka despite Pakistan being the official host.

Cricket lovers now eagerly await the final announcement, as the Asia Cup 2025 shapes up to be one of the most anticipated events in the sport’s calendar.
