PIA Restarts Gulf Flights After Israel-Iran Ceasefire

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has resumed its flights to the Gulf after suspending operations a day earlier due to rising tensions in the Middle East.

Reports indicated that 55 flights were delayed from major airports including Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad.

Eight flights from Karachi to Jeddah, Doha, and Istanbul were canceled, along with two foreign flights to Dubai. Five flights from Lahore to Sharjah, Muscat, and Riyadh were also canceled.

Additionally, five flights from Sharjah to Peshawar, Dubai, and Abu Dhabi were canceled. A Lahore to Medina flight was delayed by 13 hours, while the Lahore to Dammam flight also faced delays.

PIA’s Islamabad to Dubai flight was delayed by 15 hours, and two Bahrain to Islamabad flights were delayed by over 4 hours.

Meanwhile, Qatar and other countries have started restoring flight operations after US President Donald Trump announced that Iran and Israel had agreed to a ceasefire following Iran’s missile attacks.

“The ceasefire is now in effect. Please do not violate it!” Trump posted on Truth Social.
