Israel Confirms Killing of Senior Iranian UAV Commander in Targeted Strike

Israel has officially claimed responsibility for the killing of Amin Pourjodki, a senior commander in Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), in what it described as a precision airstrike. The move is expected to further intensify tensions between the two regional adversaries.

According to Israeli military sources cited by local media, Pourjodki — also spelled Amin For Judkhi — was a top operative leading the IRGC’s second unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) unit within its Aerospace Force. The airstrike was reportedly carried out on Saturday, although the location and full operational details remain undisclosed.

Israeli officials described Pourjodki as a critical figure in Iran’s drone operations, accusing him of orchestrating UAV missions that directly threatened Israeli interests. “His involvement in drone attacks and the distribution of UAV technology to Iranian proxies made him a high-value target,” one Israeli security official stated.

While Israel has celebrated the operation as a blow to Iran’s drone warfare capabilities, there has been no official confirmation or response from Iranian authorities regarding Pourjodki’s reported death. Tehran has yet to issue a statement on the matter.
