He described his discussions with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian as productive, noting that Iran had shown concern for regional stability and remained in close contact during recent escalations with India. PM Shehbaz reiterated Pakistan’s preference for peaceful dialogue, including on the Kashmir issue, in line with UN and parliamentary resolutions. However, he warned that any future aggression from India would be firmly countered with full national and military support.

Condemning Israeli actions in Gaza, he expressed solidarity with the Palestinian people and called on the international community to help enforce a durable ceasefire, highlighting the loss of over 54,000 Palestinian lives.

President Pezeshkian, in his remarks, welcomed the de-escalation between Pakistan and India and encouraged both sides to settle differences through dialogue. He also denounced the silence of Western powers on the humanitarian crisis in Palestine, calling it disgraceful. He concluded by thanking PM Shehbaz and the Pakistani delegation for their visit.
