Hasan Nawaz Powers Quetta Gladiators to Last-Ball Win Over Multan Sultans in PSL 10 Thriller
Hasan Nawaz delivered a stunning unbeaten knock to guide Quetta Gladiators to a nail-biting last-ball victory over Multan Sultans in the 28th match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10 at the Rawalpindi Cricket Ground on Sunday.
Chasing a challenging target of 186, Quetta Gladiators reached 187 for 8 on the final delivery, thanks to Nawaz’s blistering 67 off just 38 balls. His explosive innings, featuring six sixes and two boundaries, earned him the Player of the Match award and secured Quetta’s place at the top of the PSL X points table.
Khawaja Nafay also starred with a quickfire 51 from 26 balls, laced with four sixes and five fours. Together, Nafay and Nawaz tore into Multan’s bowling attack, with a 77-run opening stand between captain Saud Shakeel and Nafay laying a solid foundation for the chase.

Multan Sultans, who concluded their PSL X campaign with this match, found some resistance through Shahid Aziz, who took three key wickets to momentarily stall Quetta’s momentum. Mohammad Hasnain, Ubaid Shah, and Peter Hatzoglou claimed a wicket each but failed to stop the flow of runs.
Earlier, Multan Sultans opted to bat first and posted 185/7 in their allotted 20 overs. Yasir Khan top-scored with 45, while Tayyab Tahir (36), Shahid Aziz (29), and Jahanzeb Sultan (25) made valuable contributions.
Quetta’s bowling effort was spearheaded by Usman Tariq, who took 3 for 32, while Khurram Shehzad, Faheem Ashraf, Mohammad Wasim Jr, and Abrar Ahmed chipped in with one wicket apiece.
With this win, Quetta Gladiators advanced to the PSL 10 playoffs, joining Karachi Kings. Multan Sultans, however, bowed out of the tournament.
The battle for the remaining playoff spots now intensifies among defending champions Islamabad United, Lahore Qalandars, and Peshawar Zalmi.
The PSL 10 playoffs—including the Qualifier, Eliminator 1, Eliminator 2, and Final—will be held at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, from May 21 to 25.
