WASHINGTON – U.S. President Donald Trump has strongly criticized India’s late-night strikes on Pakistan, calling them “shameful.”
Speaking to reporters at the White House, Trump said the attacks on multiple sites in Pakistan and Pakistan-administered Kashmir were disgraceful. He noted that he had only recently been briefed on the developments that unfolded in the past few hours.

The situation between India and Pakistan has escalated sharply after the Pakistan Air Force shot down two Indian fighter jets in retaliation for earlier Indian airstrikes. Indian jets were reportedly intercepted near the Line of Control during what Pakistani officials described as hostile airspace activity. India had earlier launched missile strikes, claiming to target suspected terrorist camps inside Pakistan.
