Gujranwala traffic police have established six Rehbar Centers to simplify the issuance and renewal of various driving licenses, including learner’s, international, and both light and heavy vehicle permits.
Chief Traffic Officer Ayesha Butt inaugurated the centers, which follow a smart office model designed to provide modern and efficient services to the public.

The project aims to improve road safety and encourage lawful driving practices in a city with over 2.3 million residents and a high volume of daily motorcycle traffic.
Three centers—located at Dastagir Chowk, Chunda Qila, and Jinnah Interchange—are now operational. They feature wireless traffic management systems and offer services such as learner’s permits, duplicate licenses, and motorcycle and international license issuance.
Residents can also file traffic complaints and access road updates and government service information.
CTO Ayesha Butt noted that over 1.5 million licenses have been issued and urged the public to obey traffic laws and prevent underage driving to help create safer roads in Gujranwala.
