During his official stay, Foreign Minister Araghchi will meet with President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar. These meetings are seen as crucial for reinforcing bilateral relations and advancing shared goals.

The visit follows a recent telephone conversation between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and newly elected Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, in which PM Sharif reiterated Pakistan’s unambiguous stance against terrorism. He firmly denied any Pakistani involvement in the Pahalgam incident, emphasizing Pakistan’s own longstanding battle against terrorism and calling for an impartial investigation into the matter.

This diplomatic engagement comes at a critical juncture, aiming to boost Pakistan-Iran relations while promoting stability in a region marked by recent unrest.
