Karachi Kings’ vice-captain Hasan Ali has etched his name into HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) history by equalling the all-time wicket-taking record, matching former pacer Wahab Riaz with 113 dismissals. The milestone came during a fiery spell against Lahore Qalandars at the National Bank Stadium.
The 30-year-old right-arm pacer delivered a match-winning performance, claiming 4 wickets for 28 runs in his four overs. He dismissed key batters including Mohammad Naeem, Abdullah Shafique, Fakhar Zaman, and Sam Billings, helping Karachi Kings seal a crucial win and underlining his return to form.

What makes Hasan’s achievement more impressive is the efficiency with which he reached it—doing so in just 83 innings, four fewer than Wahab Riaz’s 87. The feat places him at the top of the PSL’s all-time wicket-takers list, sharing the position with a seasoned campaigner.
Hasan has shown strong form this season, taking five wickets from just two matches. After a slightly expensive outing against Multan Sultans, he made a strong comeback against the Qalandars, reaffirming his value as both a strike bowler and team leader.
