KP Boards Announce SSC 2nd Annual Exam Schedule

Educational boards across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have started announcing schedules for the SSC 2nd Annual Examinations 2026, giving Class 9 and Class 10 students another opportunity to appear for their secondary school examinations.

Official notifications issued by BISE Malakand and BISE Kohat have confirmed that the examinations will begin on October 7, 2026.

The second annual examinations are particularly important for students who were unable to pass one or more subjects in the first annual examinations. The additional examination provides such candidates with another opportunity to improve their academic results and complete their secondary education requirements.

Second chance for students

Under the examination rules of the respective boards, eligible students can appear in the SSC 2nd Annual Examinations for several reasons.

Students who failed one or more subjects in the first annual examinations can reappear in those subjects. Candidates may also apply for improvement of marks, reappearance, additional subjects and qualifying subjects, subject to the applicable rules and eligibility requirements of their respective educational boards.

The examinations are therefore expected to attract a large number of students seeking to improve their results or clear subjects they could not pass during the regular annual examinations.

Registration deadlines announced

Both BISE Malakand and BISE Kohat have set September 2, 2026, as the deadline for submitting examination admission forms with the normal fee.

However, the deadlines for late submissions differ between the two boards.

According to the schedule issued by BISE Malakand, students will be able to submit their forms with a late fee until September 7, 2026. Applications submitted with a double fee will be accepted until September 15, while the deadline for submission with a triple fee has been set for September 21, 2026.

BISE Kohat has issued a different late-fee schedule. Candidates applying with a double fee will be able to submit their forms until September 10, 2026, while applications with a triple fee will be accepted until September 18, 2026.

Students have been advised to carefully follow the deadlines announced by their respective boards to avoid complications during the registration process.

Regular and private candidates

The admission process will also differ depending on whether a student is enrolled as a regular or private candidate.

Regular students will submit their admission forms through their respective educational institutions. Schools will be responsible for completing the admission process and forwarding the required information to the relevant board.

Private candidates, meanwhile, will be able to submit their admission forms through the online admission systems provided by their respective educational boards.

Students are advised to ensure that all information entered in their admission forms is accurate before submitting them.

Date sheets and roll number slips

While the examinations are scheduled to begin on October 7, students should wait for the final paper-wise date sheet issued by their respective boards.

Educational boards are expected to provide detailed information regarding individual subjects, examination centres and paper timings through their official platforms.

Students should also regularly check their board’s official website for updates regarding roll number slips, examination fees, date sheets and examination centres.

The exact schedule may vary depending on the board under which a student is registered.

Important opportunity for SSC students

The SSC 2nd Annual Examinations provide an important opportunity for students who want to improve their academic performance or clear subjects from their previous examinations.

For students who failed subjects in the first annual examinations, successfully passing the second annual exams can help them avoid delays in their educational progression.

Similarly, candidates seeking improvement of marks can use the examination session to strengthen their academic results, subject to the relevant board’s policies.

With BISE Malakand and BISE Kohat already announcing their schedules, other educational boards in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa may also issue their detailed examination notifications and admission schedules.

Based on the official schedules announced so far, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa SSC 2nd Annual Examinations 2026 will commence from October 7, 2026.

Students are encouraged to complete their registration within the normal-fee deadline and continue preparing for their examinations while monitoring official board announcements for any changes or additional instructions.
