PTI workers protested outside Adiala Jail after being denied permission to meet Imran Khan. Some hurled stones during the demonstration. In response, police detained Imran Khan’s three sisters — Aleema, Uzma, and Noreen Khan — along with Aliya Hamza, MNA Shafqat Awan, and several party workers. However, the women were later released after being taken away from the scene.

The protest coincided with a scheduled meeting between Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi, which Bushra’s family members attended after receiving clearance. Meanwhile, several PTI leaders, lawyers, and family members — including Barrister Gohar and Salman Akram Raja — were blocked at checkpoints and denied entry despite having scheduled visits.

Aleema Khan expressed frustration, questioning the heavy security and repeated denial of visits. “If we can’t be upset, who can?” she told the media.

While some lawyers and leaders were eventually allowed to meet Imran Khan, others were briefly detained and later released after negotiations. The sisters and female leaders continued their protest at a local wedding hall even after being freed, refusing to leave and demanding their right to visit their brother as per court orders.
