Pakistan cricket’s turmoil took another turn as former coach Jason Gillespie accused Aaqib Javed of maneuvering to secure a PCB coaching role.
Gillespie, who resigned last December, criticized Aaqib Javed for his remarks on the national team’s Champions Trophy performance, calling him a “clown” and alleging he attempted to undermine both him and former white-ball coach Gary Kirsten.

The controversy comes amid growing frustration over Pakistan’s frequent coaching and selection changes, with Javed highlighting the instability caused by 16 coaches and 26 selectors in just two years.
Responding on social media, Gillespie mocked Javed’s clarifications, claiming he had secretly worked to oust him and Kirsten to become Pakistan’s all-format coach.
