Trump Warns Hamas ‘Last Chance’ to Free Israeli Hostages

US President Donald Trump has issued a stern warning to Hamas, threatening severe consequences if the Israeli captives held in Gaza are not released immediately. In a recent social media post, Trump urged Hamas leadership to leave Gaza while they still have a chance, emphasizing that a “beautiful future” for the Palestinian people hinges on the prompt release of hostages. He warned, “This is your last warning! For the leadership, now is the time to leave Gaza, while you still have a chance. Also, to the People of Gaza: A beautiful Future awaits, but not if you hold Hostages. If you do, you are DEAD! Make a SMART decision.”

Trump’s comments came just hours after the White House confirmed that indirect negotiations between Washington and Hamas are ongoing regarding the captives. He has long been a vocal critic of Hamas and has previously called for the forced displacement of Gaza’s population, a stance that has drawn widespread condemnation. In his latest remarks, Trump also demanded that Hamas return both the living captives and the bodies of those killed, stating, “‘Shalom Hamas’ means Hello and Goodbye – You can choose. Release all of the Hostages now, not later, and immediately return all of the dead bodies of the people you murdered, or it is OVER for you.” He further claimed that he would supply Israel with everything it needs to “finish the job” and warned that no member of Hamas would be safe if his demands were not met.

These comments follow a recent contentious meeting at the White House, where Trump and Vice President JD Vance criticized Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, leading to a breakdown in talks over a minerals deal. Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government faces growing international pressure over its military actions in Gaza, even as the United Nations and humanitarian organizations condemn the blockade restricting vital supplies to the enclave.
