The federal government has unveiled revised working hours for government offices during Ramadan, as announced by the Establishment Division. The new schedule differentiates between offices that operate five days a week and those that work six days.
For offices on a five-day work week, operations will run from Monday to Thursday, 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM, and on Fridays, from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM. Offices operating six days a week will work from Monday to Thursday between 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM, with Friday hours also set at 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM.

These adjustments have been implemented to accommodate the religious obligations and fasting requirements of employees throughout the holy month of Ramadan, and the new timings will remain in effect for the entire period.
In related news, the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, led by Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad, convened in Peshawar on Friday to determine the sighting of the Ramadan moon. At a press conference, Maulana Azad announced that the Ramadan moon was not sighted anywhere in Pakistan, meaning that the first roza will be observed on Sunday. Zonal committees in major cities such as Lahore, Karachi, Quetta, and Islamabad also held meetings to review the moon sighting reports.
