A man took his own life on the premises of Islamabad’s iconic Faisal Mosque, reports revealed on Thursday.
The deceased was identified as Faizan Ali, a resident of Rawalpindi. Police have shifted the body to a hospital and launched an investigation. A firearm was also recovered near the body.

Earlier this month, a Utility Stores Corporation (USC) employee in Abbottabad died by suicide after being dismissed from his job. Reports indicate that the federal government has begun terminating daily wage employees to reduce financial strain.
Junaid Qureshi, who served at the store for 13 years, ended his life after receiving his termination letter. Recently, the government announced plans to lay off all 3,000 daily wage employees.
