PMD Predicts Countrywide Rainfall Beginning from Tomorrow

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted a new spell of rain across the country starting Monday.

A westerly weather system is expected to bring rainfall to various regions, with hailstorms likely in Punjab, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, and Islamabad. Northern areas may experience snowfall, while Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan are set to receive rain from February 25.

The PMD has also warned of flash floods and landslides in hilly areas, advising tourists to avoid unnecessary travel.

Meanwhile, Karachi is expected to have mostly cloudy skies with cooler temperatures. The city will experience shifting wind patterns, with northeastern winds from Balochistan at night and early morning, while southwesterly sea breezes will prevail in the afternoons.

Residents are urged to prepare for sudden temperature changes and possible fog during early morning hours, which may affect traffic.
