In a significant advancement in airport bomb detection, 18 British-made Explosotrace Detection machines have been handed over to the Airport Security Force (ASF).
These advanced machines, designed to detect explosive materials, were originally procured from the United Kingdom by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) to ensure security clearance for direct flights to the UK.

The newly deployed equipment will be used at Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad airports.
An official noted that the addition of these machines will also aid in obtaining security clearance for direct flights to the United States.
