FIA Arrests Two Human Smugglers Linked to Morocco Boat Tragedy
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA)’s anti-human trafficking circle arrested two human smugglers, Shahid Nadeem and Rana Muhammad Asif, in raids conducted on Thursday in connection with the Morocco boat tragedy.
According to reports, Shahid Nadeem had sent an individual, Ameer Ali, to Cambodia in exchange for Rs. 700,000. Upon Ali’s arrival in Cambodia, Nadeem handed him over to another agent after taking an additional $1,600.

The second suspect, Rana Muhammad Asif, deceived Mudasir Rasheed and six members of his family by promising them UK citizenship and employment. Asif charged the family Rs. 1 million each and provided them with fake British passports in Istanbul. However, the family was deported back to Pakistan after authorities identified the forged documents.
The arrests are part of ongoing efforts by the FIA to crack down on human smuggling networks following the tragic incident in Morocco. Investigations are underway to identify and apprehend other individuals involved in such illegal operations.
