Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is set to visit the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from February 11 to 13. During this trip, he will engage in significant discussions with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, as per diplomatic sources. His visit will also include participation in the World Government Summit in Dubai, a prominent event drawing international attention.
One of the highlights of the summit will be a meeting between Prime Minister Shehbaz and Dr. Mohammad Yunus, the Chief Advisor of Bangladesh. Additionally, leaders from Indonesia and the Maldives are expected to join the summit, enhancing the diplomatic exchanges taking place.

In parallel to his upcoming trip, Prime Minister Sharif has welcomed a $20 billion commitment from the World Bank under its new 10-year Country Partnership Framework (CPF) for Pakistan. This initiative, designed to bolster Pakistan’s development priorities, will focus on vital areas such as child nutrition, education, clean energy, and climate resilience.
Back at home, the Prime Minister has also instructed an investigation into a controversial advertisement regarding the launch of Pakistan International Airlines’ (PIA) Paris flights, signaling his proactive stance on government transparency and accountability.
