ICC Delegation Inspects Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium for Champions Trophy Preparations

An ICC delegation is scheduled to visit Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium this Saturday as part of their ongoing review of preparations for the 2025 Champions Trophy. The six-member team will assess the progress of construction and renovation work at the venue, which will host three key matches during the tournament.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Director of International Cricket, Usman Wahla, and other officials will brief the delegation on the advancements made so far. Rawalpindi will host Bangladesh vs New Zealand on February 24, Australia vs South Africa on February 25, and Pakistan vs Bangladesh on February 27.

This visit follows earlier inspections, including a recent tour of Karachi’s National Bank Stadium, where the delegation reviewed the final upgrades ahead of the tournament’s February 19 start. Following Rawalpindi, the ICC team will travel to Lahore to inspect the Gaddafi Stadium facilities.

The Champions Trophy will feature eight teams across three venues in Pakistan and Dubai. With the tournament quickly approaching, all eyes are on the readiness of the venues as the countdown to the opening match between Pakistan and New Zealand continues.
