The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the schedule for the West Indies men’s cricket team’s Test tour of Pakistan. The West Indies will play two ICC World Test Championship matches in Multan, marking their first Test visit to Pakistan in almost 20 years.
Tour Details and Key Dates:
- Arrival: The West Indies team will arrive in Islamabad on January 6, 2025.
- Warm-up Match: They will begin their campaign with a three-day warm-up match against Pakistan Shaheens from January 10-12 at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
- Test Matches: The West Indies will then face Pakistan in two back-to-back Test matches at Multan Cricket Stadium.
- First Test: January 17-21
- Second Test: January 25-29
Both Test matches are part of the ongoing ICC World Test Championship cycle, providing vital opportunities for both teams to finish their campaigns on a high.

Historic Return After 19 Years: This tour marks the West Indies’ first Test series in Pakistan since November 2006, when they played a three-match series. The two teams have not met for a Test series in Pakistan since then, although their last red-ball encounter took place on neutral ground in the UAE in October 2016. However, the West Indies have toured Pakistan three times for limited-overs series: a T20I series in April 2018, another T20I series in December 2021, and an ODI series in June 2022.
